Procurement for New Daimler Supplier Model
Daimler AG awarded prizes to 14 companies for their outstanding achievements at the first Key Supplier Meeting, which was held on March 12, 2009 at the Mercedes-Benz Center in Stuttgart. For the first time ever, the awards included a prize for innovation. In addition, the new “Daimler Supplier Network” cooperation model was also presented to the supplier companies during the meeting. The new model is aimed at establishing an even closer partnership with selected suppliers.
Daimler and Evonik Establish Strategic Alliance
Evonik Industries AG, Essen and Daimler AG, Stuttgart are developing the energy storage of the future. Daimler AG takes over 49.9 percent of Li-Tec Vermögensverwaltung GmbH. In the near future, Li-Tec cells will appear in electric vehicles of Mercedes-Benz Cars. Read more
