Grohe AG Outsources IT Infrastructure
Grohe, the manufacturer of sanitary fittings, and Capgemini, the providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, have signed an agreement for IT infrastructure outsourcing. The multi-million Euro contract between Grohe AG and Capgemini Outsourcing Services GmbH spans a period of five years, and means that some 20 employees of Grohe will transfer to Capgemini. The future services will cover Grohe sites in Brazil, Canada, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Portugal, Singapore and Thailand, for which Capgemini will leverage its global Rightshore network consisting of onshore, nearshore and offshore centres. CeBIT 2009 Sparks New Optimism
“A majority of the 4,300 companies from 69 countries drew fresh optimism from being here at CeBIT,” commented Ernst Raue, the Deutsche Messe Managing Board member in charge of CeBIT, on Sunday in Hannover. “A huge number of exhibitors and visitors are now leaving Hannover with a renewed sense of buoyancy as well as bulging order books and a solid foundation for new business.” The show had lived up to their expectations, he added.
Mid-Size Companies for a Greener IT Technology
IBM surveyed about 1,000 medium-sized companies on their attitude towards “Green IT”. The result: almost two-thirds are working on reducing the environmental impact of their information technology. Read more
